Diversity Natives Community News August 2016

Summer vacation is over

(at least for yours truly) and it's time for some housekeeping

First things first:

A very warm WELCOME to our new members! We’re extremely happy you joined the community! And you know what they say about little gifts and friendship... so if you’re in for a diversity read go ahead and download your free copy of GAME-Faint Signals (spoiler alert: this career novel is not for the faint of heart)

We no longer want to put you on the rack on what’s brewing in the DNA kettle *drum roll*: It’s a project dubbed Cascabella.

Cascabella is all about cooking up some serious stories featuring Diversity Natives as role models.

It is a series of stirring tales mixing facts and fiction based on the new storytelling technique we had a workshop on early in June at our lovely sponsor Valtech_

The goal is to drive diversity and innovation in the technology space. Ingredients are founders, startups, corporations and trend topics, and people who provide inspiration – characters the reader can relate to. *hint* DNA folks like you.

The first story “The Strip” has been published internationally (download it here for free). The cooks are busy on the recipe for the next one. However, the project is still in the early stage as we’re taking the lean approach.

So if you’d like to join the kitchen crew and become part of the project by supporting us hands-on or provide some sponsoring or back us with your network then we’d love to hear from you. Suggestions for role models to spice up the stories are always well received with the kitchen crew.

Just drop us a note  and we’ll get back with more details and why this is a cool project to be involved in.

All good things come in threes:

Let’s get together: the next network meeting will be on September 21, 07.00pm (location in Munich TBD, watch out for the Meetup)

In the meantime, strive and thrive and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more news in-between.

Yours truly,

Britta + Annette
